   This Statistical Brief presents and compares offer rates, enrollment rates and employee premium contributions for the year 2001 across geographic areas (Census Division) for private firms with fewer than 50 employees. The data for this brief are derived from the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey- Insurance Component (MEPS-IC), an annual survey of employers which collects information about employer-sponsored health insurance. The MEPS-IC survey is sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and conducted by the United States Census Bureau.
